Thanks Be to God
But thanks be to God, who always leads us to triumph in Christ. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). Each morning we wake up, what do we do? Do we thank God for letting us breathe another day or do we forget who let us breathe. Today’s society is a rush, hurry, speed up and get out of my way society. We get so caught up in society; we do not have time for God. God should be #1 on our priority list. If he is not, then that explains why our life is non-stop all the time. When we get in a hurry we tend to forget things.
For example, if we stay up late watching television or whatever, we are going to sleep until the last possible minute before we have to get up. Then it is started, now we’re running late. The rush has begun to beat time. We can not beat time because time is infinite just like life after here. Where we go after here depends on where we go here after. Where are we going after here? We’re going somewhere and it is up to us to make the right choice. God gave us the choice to be born twice and dying once or be born once and dying twice. I heard someone say, "I’d rather be a million miles away with one step towards heaven then in heaven and one step away from heaven." You know God doesn’t have to let us live. He could take our life when and where He wants to.
But what is great about our God is He loves us too much to kill us. (1 John 4:19) says, "We love him, because He first loved us." God is a jealous God. He doesn’t want anyone or anything running our life except him. He wants full control of our life. We can not give it to him if we are caught up in societies act. Surrender full to God and He promises us a more happy, joyful, pleasing, worry and stress free, loving, caring and whatever else that comes with Gods almighty package. The package or gift no man could give. The gift that brings us to full understanding and gives knowledge where it and when it is needed. The knowledge that lets us choose the right way through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Everything we have came from God and everything to come will come from God. If we would realize and acknowledge that it does come from God and not man, the things we have would be of more value to us. For example our children, they’re not going to be children all their lives, there comes a time when they become adults. Let them enjoy their childhood while they can. But on the other hand raise them the right way. Raise them in the way God says to. Discipline them that way when they do grow up they will know right from wrong. Why do you think society is the way it is? Because discipline has departed from society. Look at the crime rate and the criminals’ ages. The rate is outrageously high and the ages are tremendously low. Why? Because there isn’t any discipline in most homes today and the main reason is there is only one parent. A child can not be taught or disciplined when the one parent is working all the time. If you start out at a young age teaching them the right way through Jesus, they will know right from wrong. A child needs both parents to be Godly parents. If both parents are then the child can be an overcomer in today’s society. You have to be an overcomer to make it through the things the devil and God has for us. God has a will for each and every one of us. If we’re not doing his will, then we can’t serve him the way we should. Remember that God will get his work done, if not through you, then it will be done through someone else that is willing. God loves us too much to hate us so the next time you wake up remember who let you live just another day
