I will hold on to the hand of my savior?
Lord forgive us. For the desires of the flesh are overwhelming. Help us to be overcomers to these desires. Hold us in your hand Lord, for Your word says in (John 10:27-28), "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand." With these words dear Lord, there is hope if we fall by the way side. When we turn to our fleshly desires, help us to understand that this is not of You but of the devil. For You are holy Lord God and we are to strive to be like You. To be like You means we are to be holy. Forgive us Lord, for we are to blind to see and remember what You did for us. For it is by faith we see not by sight. Through Jesus we see and find grace. If we walk by faith we can overcome any obstacle. While You Lord look for the impossible, we think the impossible is impossible. By faith through grace we are saved. Jesus didn’t come to condemn us but to save us. For if we try to walk by sight we will be able to see the obstacles coming, than we can dodge them. Faith is how we overcome the obstacles; that God allows satan to put in our way. Our faith has to be tested somehow.
Faith is the substance unseen, but sight is the substance seen. This is why it is so hard for some people to understand how faith works. Most people have to be able to see the things they have. For instance, the material things in this life. You can see, feel, touch and taste most all of the material things this life has to offer. You cannot have faith and worship the material things. Why worship things that will eventually deteriorate, when you can have faith and worship something that will live forever and never deteriorate. When we are truly worshipping God and in the center of his will, we will then be in the center of God’s hand. Sometimes when we try to walk on the outskirts of God’s hand. It’s then, when it is so easy to fall by the wayside. We are more vulnerable to the desires of the flesh. Then, God has to chastise his own. He will gives us a good old-fashioned whippin’. The Lord doesn’t want to have to whip us unless he has to. Stay in the center of God’s hand and the fleshly desires will stay on the outskirts. Thank you Jesus for being so patient with us and being there for us when we needed You. Lord God help us too turn to You for our guidance and obstacles. We love you with all our hearts in Jesus name we pray.
Amen
